4k videos lagging and 100% CPU use

Hello guys I have a problem with BSPlayer since I reinstalled my Windows. It seems that every 4k video is lagging after 3-5 seconds of opening it and the CPU is stuck at 100%. Any ideas about this issue? Thanks

this problem seems to be from your graphic card release date... modern codecs or modern OS just ignore the model and set the default settings to something poor.

some "older" graphic cards can't run some codecs, AV1 for example is the top one to give us this problem. some times VC-1...

AV1 is recent, how most graphic cards can't understand, the codec send the task to the CPU, that most times still handle it when the resolution is 1080, but beyond this they starts to freeze.

yet, if your graphic card is new, maybe your codec is not configured, look if you have the LAV red icon active, check the tray.

not all machines are the same, you have to test some settings, in the "hardware accelerator" options, you can see the options that most times give the problems that you said... DXVA2 (native) works fine here, but your machine can be different, so test them. but before, the most important is to active the codecs and resolution, if your graphic card is older than 2017, AV1 should not work, but new graphic cards should run fine if you active it.

don't forget the others, H.264, HEVC, HEVC10 and VP9 are crucial, they work even with 2011 machines.
