Could you please post here the message you get ? It will be easier to understand where the error come from.
When opening the file, do you have a flicker in the left upper corner or on the systray ?

A, I see, is the standard window's message when closing an aplication that stopped responding.
Do we tyalk about .avi files only ?
MPEG files do work ok ?
Can you try to re-register quartz.dll ? (rightclick->options->preferences->filter management->manage filters; dshow filters->click on AVI splitter (it should state at the lower part of the window that the file is Located in : \WINDOWS\system32\quartz.dll)
and press re-register)

So, once again.

Some days ago, the PRO 1.4x version worked OK.
You installed the PRO 2 version, video files doesn't work any more.
Tryied to re-install PRO 1.4x version and doesn't work any more either.
Version 1.32, non PRO is working OK, no errors.

Try to delete the folder that BSPlayer creates into c:\documents and settings\UserName\application data, called BSPlayer Pro, or at least the files inside.
If this does not help, after this uninstall all BSPlayer you have installed, delete the folder named Webteh in c:\program files and do a clean install

The major difference between 1.32 and the other 2 versions is that the preferences are saved into the install folder and not into document and settings folder. I think the problem is related to that thing. Let me think about other thing that may alter this.

Tizio 9th July 2006 10:44 AM

BSplayer v1.x is not compatible with v2.x settings files. If you try to open BSplayer v1 without deleting the v2 settings file a Windows error message will appear.
Are you sure you have deleted the BSplayer folders located in C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Appliacation data\ folder?

Maybe check also for the other users locations (All users, Default user, etc.)

You got in the wrong place, mate. NTuser.dat is a file in wich the operating system stores some internal date. You'll never be able to delete this file.
Look carefully for the location.

BSPeter 9th July 2006 01:01 PM

Or in your case God Of Reptiles, the path would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\Mikko\Application Data\BSplayer Pro\
Maybe you couldn't find "Application Data" as this folder may be hidden by default, but it's there!

C:\Documents and Settings\Mikko\Application Data\BSplayer Pro\ isn't a file but a folder, which may contain more files, e.g.:
bsp.dat - BSplayer.xml - bsplist.bsl - bspml.xml - EQ.xml
and yes I would suggest to delete these (or simply rename the folder, which I always do, having several versions of BSPlayer on my PC and wanting to be able to switch between them) and then do a fresh install (as earlier suggested).

If you give up so easily I cannot imagine you really purchased BSPlayer Pro. So you've probably been using an illegal crack, which appears to be not working and you judge BSPlayer from that experience?

Well, my dear Mikko, if the player doesn't work it seems to me that the crack hasn't worked isn't it (but instead the build-in "security" of the soft appears to have worked). For the purpose of the crack would be a working Pro-player or am I wrong. What you're saying is like saying "Well I couldn't open the door and enter, but the picklock worked!"

Well, did you try (after removal of the files in "C:\Documents and Settings\Mikko\Application Data\BSplayer Pro\")?
Most probably not!

By the way: the latest free version without adware is version 1.37, which you can easily find in lots of posts right here in this forum. E.g. also in the second part of my Help2Help-post (a.k.a. "READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING") under MISCELLANEOUS item (a). (Just click on the line "in fact at this last site you can download lots of versions of BSPlayer" of that post).

Yes, quite possible and likely, but it need not necessarily mean that it indeed did fully work and unlock BSPlayer Pro!
(I know that as, when I made an minor error upon registering, I also got that message, so everything looked OK, but it didn't work anyhow! It only worked when I re-registered with the full correct data.)

Dear Mikko  a.k.a. God Of Reptiles ,
You´ve told us your name yourselves, so why shouldn´t we use it? It´s not as if I was telling e.g. your ISP and IP to the whole world.

Success whilst browsing the internet looking for a working crack! Visiting and downloading from sites offering such cracks is - of course - much safer than the enormous dangers you would expose yourselves to when installing Free BSPlayer version with WhenU adware! ( http://www.bsplayer.com/forum/viewto...?p=28153#28153 )

Dear Mikko  a.k.a. God Of Reptiles,
For doing exactly what?
For drawing your attention to the fact that your IP and other computer information is known to every website that you visit?
Again, I did not reveal in this forum any information on your person or any other detail related to you, that you did not mention yourself in your earlier posts! And I also would never ever do such thing!
(Please read the information of danasoft)

OK, last post from me in this thread.
I wasn't aware that you are ashamed of your name, which seems a normal Finnish name to me (you wrote you installed it with Finnish language), but dear God Of Reptiles, I will not use it any more and I will certainly not SHOUT it.

szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

C:\DOCUME~1\Mikko\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERa02e.dir00\bsplayer.exe.mdmp

I have no idea what those mean but if someone does, good.

If you didn't wanted to let everybody know your name, you shouldn't wrote that word
And your language was really not appropriate!
Ok, I read you are a keygen writer, but I aware you that bsplayer key is not so easy to broke (there were at least 3 keygenerators from well known hackers groups that didn't worked)

And since nobody else had problems with the BSplayer installation (except ion made for you) it seems to me that it's your version (crack?) that don't work, and not BSplayer..

And remember that that single path you wrote there reveals also many other information regarding you and your OS, so you was the first to expose yourself to the rest of the world. BSPeter tried to help you for all those posts and then you repolied to him that way... In my opinion BSPeter was a sir to only reply you that way..

If you didn't read the danasoft description on its site, well, don't worry, the IP and ISP mentioned on that image is read in a different way from different people. I don't see your IP and ISP OS and Browser, but mine and so will do all the other persons that will look at it, it's harmless. so calm down.. and be aware of the fact that also eMule and other P2P software are not fully safe from your information to be leaked out (your IP will be visible to everyone you download from!! and if someone listen to your connection, by reading the packets headers he might also know what you are downloading, with wich software, from where and to where)

If you'll need more help then come back, but only if you'll change your manners

Indeed, the keygen I tried to test "DVD Source" playback in v2.0 didn't work properly. The key was accepted but no Pro features (EQ, Net Buffer) were enabled. Looks like crackers don't do enough testing and don't actually use the software they have cracked. It appears that there's not so much security as tricks involved. You make programmers think their crack worked while in fact they don't. :D
