 I WANT THIS (FS scroll bar preview and hotlist thumbnails preview) Janessa brazil- hot amatuer bikini contest, hot florida biki - XVIDEOS.COM I can only imagine this as a fullscreen feature, btw. Also, the porn site seems to have the thumbs pre-generated on website. The thumbnails in bsplayer could be pre-generated and cached in memory while the video is already running. First there would be like 1 thumbnail for every 1/4 of the movie pregenerated, then add 4 more fore every 1/8, then add 8 more for every 1/16, etc. Only keyframes, I guess. Moving the mouse over the bar would immediately point the thumbnail generator to that particular place of movie, while displaying nearest thumb before the proper one gets generated. On a fast computer this could be very fast, I guess. This is EXACTLY the kind of feature that BSplayer needs to be different from its competitors. Also, a very nice addition would be if we could see thumbnails of videos in hotlist and see preview pics of a video in a thumbnail if we hover over it with mouse. On the pornsite too, btw. Please let me know if you read this and like it. And thanks for the best player, I keep using it all the time.          |

Though not the same: BS.Player already has the possibility to create a sheet with thumbnails. (rightclick >) Generate thumbnails You can adapt settings under (rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Frame and thumbnail capture I agree it is not the same as suggested/requested by you, but I want to make sure that you are aware of this existing feature.

Yes, I know. Thank you Peter for reading my ramblings, hopefully some of the above features will find its way to BSplayer. It's nice to be reminded that you've got some code already in place for it. BTW, if you're still reading this, what do you think of my "fast" thumbnails generating method? Did you get any other idea of something that could be even faster? you know I am a programmer too and this is just about the best I could actually come up with. I'd be interested in hearing/reading an idea of something that could be even faster or smoother.. Perhaps there could be some work done with de/compression and stuff like that (since all videos seems to come compressed or encoded in some way). Like there is no need for thumbnails to to do any several pass quality enhancing or deblocking etc unless you are actually just going to show them). |

Note I'm just a longtime user (and translator). I most certainly am no programmer. BS.Player-team (notably bst=Boris Voglar) is the creator and developper of BS.Player. (See the History-page.) (But this is the right place to post any feature suggestions.)
