If they disappear it means that when FFDShow got deinitialized, it can't properly close itself. Can you provide also a subtitle file affected by this problem?

Usually anime files come with ASS / SSA subtitles. To enable support for them, please go to options->preferences->subtitles and enable "support for new renderer". Now you should be able to see both subtitles.

Hmm, well now BS Player isn't crashing, but the the icons still appear. Not only that, but it happens with all videos and not just when I use BS Player. o_0 I'm thinking this isn't a BS Player problem, but a bug in FFDShow... |
