Default How to remove temporary directory?

I´ve gotten some problems with my BS Player, i can´t open it, it says "Can´t access temporary directory". I´ve read some replies to others with the same problem and the solution seems to be to remove whats in the temporary directory. The problem is that i don´t know how to do that. Can anyone help me? By the way, i´m from Sweden so my OP is in swedish.

Another advice was to log in as another user, open the BS Player, go to options, general tab, and uncheck the box remember last movie. This didn´t help, i still can´t open it. Any other ideas? It doesn´t help to uninstall and then reinstall.

The problem occurs because you're not an Administrator of your PC, then you probably run WinXP, Win2k or even NT, not Win9x or WinMe.
Under XP or Win2k, if your Login name is "Toto", and the system is installed on Drive C, then the directory you have to remove should be:

C:\Documents and Settings\Toto\Local Settings\Temp\_BSPST$_\

well you just have to remove the _BSPST$_ directory located in your temporary directory

just browse with windows explorer to your temp directory, select the _BSPST$_ directory and press the "del" or "suppr" key on your keyboard ;)

if you don't know where your temp dir is, search for _BSPST$_ using the search feature of windows explorer...

QuietSeb:
It seems we're both online 8) !

My 1st idea was yours but I've asked explorer (I quite never use it, I prefer Windows commander) to look for _bspst$_ and it coluldn't find it even if I could see it. Of course, when I exit BSplayer, the directory is removed, then I've created the directory again, and the command din't work neither.

An other way would be to open the Windows startup menu, select Run and type:
Code:
Cmd
In the windows cosole window that appears, type:
Code:
Set
to look at the environnement variables and read the USERPROFILE value (it should be the current directory). If it is, type:
Code:
  Explorer .
and select Local Settings\Temp then remove the _BSPST$_ directory (Quit BSplayer before, if open)

true enough, I forgot the temp dir is by default in a hidden directory and windows explorer doesn't look in these if they're not displayed...

one of the 1st things I do when I install windows is to move the temp dir to another place and make it common for all my users (I see no need to waste 4 times the space for the same temp files and make it 4 times harder to clean ;) ) thus mine is always in a not hidden and easily accessible directory ;) ...

g'd night
