does not play

It seems that bsplayer free cannot open files from the yts.am site (https://yts.am/). I have downloaded few movies, either in 720p or in 1080p resolution but the player just hangs and cannot open them. I used other players such as VLC etc and I have had no problems. I want to stick with bsplayer though.
Any suggestions will be welcomed.
