Hi! HEVC is more resource consuming as it's predecessor and older CPUs and GPUs doesn't have hardware support for decoding HEVC and therefore decoding such a stream is made in software mode, using much more resources. But, from my experience, a Core2Duo can decode simple 1080p x265 file with no problem when BSPlayer rendering mode is set to internal renderer. Check CPU usage in task manager and also be sure the transfer rate of the video stream is supported by the hard disk. It is also important which filter it's used to decode the stream, verify that when the file is playing options -> filters. Preferably to use LAV Filters. If any enhancement enabled, disable it. |
