Can you try to delete settings file and then start BSplayer?
settings file is located in BSplayer installation directory, or more probably in C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application...

I have no problems when I press +/- to pan-in/out...

I have no problems when I press +/- to pan-in/out
It seems that to you those keys are assigned to Zoom-in/out instead of Pan..

Press numkey 5, then try to pan-in/out by using the Custom Pan menu...
