Mhm.. I don't know, if it happens with every game...

Mhm.. I don't know, if it happens with every game you have tried I doubt it's because of the codecs, maybe the only thing you can try is to use the system default AVI splitter instead of the Gabest...

It could be that the rendering mode you are using...

It could be that the rendering mode you are using interfere with the rendering method used in the game (are you using VMR renderer in BSplayer?)
Try to change renderer and see if the problem occurs...
