6.56 seems to be the version the developpers reccomend. We talk about version 7 beta 3.
He was not launching the program from TC, he was directly opening a video file.

After a long YM discution with a fellow countryman we agreed that there is an issue between Total Commander and BSplayer:

When opening a video file from inside TC, BSPlayer crashes with an error...
