NO SOUND WHAT SO EVER

hi... i just installed this B.S.(Bull shit? :P j/k) PLayer .. so i can watch foreign subbed films... etc.... but i have no sound whatsoever.. i have sound in windows media for the same files.. but in BS..
my sound card is a SB PCI 128, and my OS is WIN 98SE....

does any one know what the Dilly is?
