aggressive behaviour with icons

The BSPlayer 807 agressively forces its own icons to registered files. This canÂ´t be changed in the File-Type specification of Windows! With this unbelievable ugly icon, the program is useless for my purposes. Will that be fixed in some future version or is this effect a desired one?
