Default Display hardware is not capable of color-space conversions.

Bsplayer was running fine until I installed divX 5.1.1. I then uninstalled divx and now when I play video dat files I get the error message "Display hardware is not capable of color-space conversions. Switching to RGB". I get sound but no video. All I see is a blank black screen.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Do I understand correctly that you uninstalled DivX5.1.1?
If so, re-install it and try different (Quality)settings.
([Start] > Programms > DivX > DivX Codec > Decoder Configuration Utility).

(Unfortunately you do not include any info on your hardware (graphics card)).

I believe the different (Quality)settings was what really screwed up big time! Just too complicated. BTW mine is a 8mb pci sis6326 vga card. I tried the different quality settings but just could not get it to work so I finally gave up, formatted my hd, reinstalled win98se and voila bsplayer is working again.
Bsplayer v1 build 803 seems to be more stable than the latest build which carshes on me occasionally.
Thanks.
