no overlay mode, reduced quality? Audio settings? other ?'s

I haven't tried in Bsplayer yet but if you turn off 'overlay mode' in WMP 9 the quality of the image is reduced as well.

Will BSplayer capture the same quality image as is displayed in it's overlay mode?

Also when I right click on the screen and go to 'audio', the options are grey/browned out(disabled)?

Last Question;

In full screen mode, when I bring up the control panel and change something, the playback becomes choppy (only if s'thing is changed, the control panel itself doesn't alter the playback).

The control panel et al are very reminiscent of PowerDVD, is there a connection?
