Different Mpeg2-Related Problem

Hey guys..

I have this truly annoying problem with BSplayer that I'd just love to have fixed. Basically, I can't play any mpeg 2 files on it. What happens in my case is pretty particular: sound plays just fine, but I get a blank (black) video screen. If I try to hit any control button (say, "stop"), BSplayer simply stops responding, and I have to manually shut it down.

I had a couple mpeg2 decoders installed on my system already (from powerdvd and windvd), and by reading previous posts in this forum I tried installing Moonlight Elecard mpeg 2 decoder as well, but it didn't solve my problem...

Can anyone please shed some light? I feel so frustrated to have to use other programs to play my mpeg2 files, since I like BSplayer so much better...

If you open an MPEG2 file in BSplayer and go to filters, what decoder is there ? Intervideo, cyber link or elecard ?

hi.. tnx very much for your interest in helping out. here's what i get by right clicking the blank video screen while playing an mpeg 2 file and going to options -> filters:

default direct sound server
matrix mixer

intervideo video decoder (this one is greyed out, so i'm not sure it's in use)

moonlight odio decoda
moonlight-elecard mpeg2 demultiplexer

I suggest to remove either elecard, either Intevideo. Seems there is a small conflict, as BSPlayer uses half of intervideo and half of elecard decoder. Normaly it should write elecard MPEG2 video decoder and elecard MPEG2 demultiplexer.

I did not have any conflict with decoders, tought using filers from WinDVD v6.00.6 give me only half the height size output.
Source is HDTV mpeg2 stream, typicaly 1920x1080 pixels

I have no idea what is going on, honestly :? :(

DVDsubber can use the WinDVD filters pretty well for DVD decoding... hang on, what about try HDTV in DVDsubber too?

Damn, crash on Floating point division by zero. Same happens when I try BSplayer to play a HDTV mpeg2 with set any other video render type that overlay1  Damn!

Time to write a bugreport!
