Serious problem with audio (all video files)

Hello... I am experiencing problems with the new BSPLAYER. All videos are fine, but the audio has a external new sound (plus to the original audio), very, very annoying, that makes me crazy!!!!

Sounds like a Long-Play old disc from the oldies... :(

What the hell is going on here? WMV files have not problem, but AVI files are not good. We have a problem?

Ohhw I almost forgot. When I was trying to increase or decrease the audio, all sounds were cut off. This is very unusual and I never experience something like this.

The fact that you tell that your problem concerns avi-files does not really help very much. Please help us to help you and read my Help2Help-post (a.k.a. "READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING") and especially item (3) thereof.
Could you please post what filters BSPlayer uses for playback of the files in question?
(With file loaded: rightclick > Options > Filters > Advanced)

Hello! :)

The filters are:

And the video codec is DIVX3. And MP3 audio, not AC3.

1. If you change from system default to directsound device in BSPlayer audio properties does it play OK ?
2. Do you have an up-to-date version of FFdshow or an older version ? If you update it does this change anything ?

I guess you're not following me. This is not happening with the old (BSPLAYER 1.37) versions, only with the brand-new 1.38/39 BSPLAYER software. OK? 8)

This is one example, please download and hear what the new BSPLAYER is doing with all AVI files.

BSPLAYER (PROBLEM - DISTORTION)

Sorry to say, but I don't use FFdshow to decode neither video nor audio streams.
No, I am not following you, but it's not imposible to have a newer version of a software (any) working a bit different than the old one.
If you don't want to test my sugestions, it's OK for me. Don't intend to force you. Good bye and good luck.

All videos with AC3 streams are working fine on the new BSPLAYER version. I guess this problem only affects MP3 streams.

Where is this option? I can't find here.

This is not an old version. It's the last.

Believe me, it's the first time in my entire life I have this problem. This never happened before.

(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Audio > "Output device" (bottom right)

Matroska Pack is the responsible, was unistalled... now it's working fine...

adicoto 18th March 2006 09:46 AM

As you can see, from your filter list, the one wich comes with Matroska pack is...FFdshow. A slightly old one (september 2005)

This topic describes the same:
http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=7870

I had this problem with BSPlayer v1.36, playing AC3 audio in a MPEG2. I didn't check other formats and reverted BSPlayer's config to default.

I would describe this effect as low resolution audio playing at full volume. It could be that only the first 8 bits are being rendered for some reason (I know I said 3 in the last post).
