BS Player 2.28 PROlite problem with menus and subtitles

Hello,
downloaded BP Player 2.28 PROlite yesterday. Had problems listed below, so uninstalled, and then reinstalled, and now have same problems.

I cannot use the BSP menus for a DVD (DVD Title menu, Chapter menu, Subtitle menu, etc. do not respond when clicked)

I cannot use the menus in the DVD menu screen to play movie, select chapters or turn on subtitles

I CAN make a movie play by -> menu -> open directory -> E: DVD -> and then hitting >l key

But I cannot get subtitles in any way.

Under options -> preferences -> subtitles
'subtitles disabled' is NOT checked
'autoload any subtitles' IS checked

VobSub
'enable Vob sub' IS checked
'load subtitles into memory' IS checked

Can you help?

BS.Player PROlite does not have DVD menus.
