[SOLVED] 2.42 missing codecs ??? (What??!!)

Hi,

I have just installed/updated version 2.42 onto my previous (2.42) one.
Installation went fine, codecs was found etc.
I wanted to open an mkv, and whooops... BS.Player cannot find the codec blahblahblah...
:confused::omg:
It doesn't matter if I select the proper codecs to download/install (green pipe is everywhere)...

What happened? And what should I do?
I didn't do anything except install the latest BSPlayer, and thats all.

Thanks for any solution.

Edit: daamn, I put this into the wrong topic. Please some admin, put into the right one, sorry!

Ehh, guess what!
I've installed the earlier (luckily I've found a place where I can dled) version, and voila; now working again... :teeth: but also

Consequence? In IT, what is working, DON'T TOUCH IT! :cool:wink

You should always only download from official site: Download your favourite media player - BS.Player FREE and PRO - here - BS.Player.com
(or Pro through your user-area).
(Where did you download from?)

Did you allow BS.Player to download filters/codecs for its own (i.e. BS.Player restricted) use?
If yes I suspect it is rather a Window's rights/privileges issue. E.g. read this thread (and the one it links to):

same problem, after updated 2.41 with 2.42(and yes again was from official site) >bang codec error despite all in bsplayer codec manager was displayed "green". updated the codecs again with no result.
solution: I just reinstaled the 2.41 version on to 2.42 and worked again
pls fix it!
