I used to use things like itunes, mmjb and wmp, until I downloaded the kazaa lite codec pack, I was astonished by the excellent player that I found inside, and I seriously think BSPlayer is the most excellent player I have ever used.

Now to the point, I was wondering if there are plans for an ID3 Tag editor or maybe even a library feature, I know there are plenty more important things that could be implemented but I would really like to see a library and/or tag editor, simply because I like to be organised.

I am spreading the word about the BSPlayer to my friends, and I will continue to use it from now on :).

P.S. This is the only player that will play avi's that I am downloading via bittorrent.

I do not agree with you...
I think BSPlayer is a really functionnal well thought video player.
I shall not be a mp3 player (there are many that are doing it great),
It shall not also open zips and send email to the planet...
If you see what I mean.
A lot of software are doing this.. like Soundforge allowing to burn CDs
Winrar allowing to send mails...
ACDsee playing videos... etc... etc...
Mr BS, continue with video playback and stay good at it.
Have a nice day.

winamp 2.91 has all those features you want. But if bst wants it i think he can include those features

wait for 1.0 out this week, it could contain those stuff

adicoto 6th November 2003 09:53 PM

Newest winamp is 5. 2.91 is very old.

Sintel 7th November 2003 02:06 AM

2.91 is newer than 3.0

5.0 is still in beta and slower than 2.91
but it's coming along nice, not good enuff to replace 2.91 yet IMO but getting there

adicoto 7th November 2003 02:14 PM

If 2.91 is new in your opinion, what about 2.95 ? By the way, I use 5 for some month and I am very satisfied.

2.91 is latest 2.x released
2.95 doesn't even exist

2.95 is an leaked beta

May be, still latest official release from www.winamp.com is v2.91 and that's what i'm using.

I don't like beta states, and leaked ones even less.

"2.95 is just great download it from winampheaven i have'nt detected any bugs

its realy good. :D
In fact, exhellent: 1. MEXP does not load at all, 2.mpc files do not play back by using the latest 'recommended" Hydrogenaudio plugin, 3. aac playback is horribly choppy, 4. Adapt-X crashes after a few seconds, 5. Geiss visualization theme runs horribly slowly...

Back to 2.92, in fact I doubt if the guys there will ever make a working 2.95 or 2.99999 or... without Frankel aid- so 2.91 and/or 2.92 should be considered as the LAST good winamp releases."
