howto use subtitle editor
 

Hi guys,

I want to use the function of subtitle editor from BsPlayer to manage to fix an group subtitle created for another type of movie group.
Let me refrase:
I have a movie from the group aXXo and a subtitle from another group, let's say FXG. Wich will be the steps that I need to do so that I can be able to edit the subtitle time / frame rate and then save the change si I can view the movie later so I could say that my new edited subtitle is updated for aXXo group movie.

Basically, there are 2 differences between different releases. One difference is the frame rate, the second one it's the delay between the begining of the video file and the first line.

So, go to START -> BSPlayer Subtitle Editor then choose Subtitle -> load new subtitle.
Now, if the file is at a different framerate, choose Framerate conversion (bottom of the window) and select the original framerate and the target one. And press convert button and save the subtitle.
If the file have a different delay, then input the delay to adjust (and the mark + or -) and Apply. Don't forget to save the file.

But how can I manage to find out wich are my current framerate ? How do I know at wich framerate is my video file? But my subtitle file ?

Usually, the first line in the subtitle it's the framerate (if it's a sub file, if it's a srt file, framerate doesn't matter). So, open the subtitle with notepad or wordpad. As for the movie, just open the file and on BSPlayer's main window you will see something like

Video: 640x272 @ 23,976

Now, 640x272 it's the resolution, 23,976 it's the framerate.

Second way to find out wich framerate it's the subtitle: go to the site where you downloaded it. Should be stated somwhere in sight.
