help with BS Player (can't open certain file, can't delete)

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could help. I have trouble with a certain BS Player file I downloaded. When I try to open it, the player crashes, and consequently it slows the whole system down tremendously. I tried deleting the file, but it says it's being used by another program or person and can't be deleted. Attempting delete also slows the system (I think the problem may lie with explorer.exe ???) the same way. I scanned for virus, spyware and it came out clean. I reinstalled BS Player and it still doesn't work. Other movies play just fine, and on restarting, the system goes back to normal until I touch the file again.
The BS Player version is 1.22, build 817. System data: AMD Sempron 2500+, video ATI Radeon 9200.
If the file is corrupted, what can be done?
Thanks

ok, GSpot found the following:

video codec 4CC: divx, divX 4, open divX (5 compatible codecs installed)
audio codec mpeglayer 3 (mp3), 0x0055 (3 compatible codecs installed)
couldn't render the file, error: 0x80040111 (unknown)

Try to open the file in VirtualDub or avipreview. If the file is corupted, both of them should play it smoothly. In not, then the file is a fake. To delete it, the simple way I found for files like this is to rename it from Movie.avi to movie.txt

thanks
tried to but couldn't rename, since "it is being used by another program or person. close any program that might be using the file and try again".
I have also discovered it plays in MPlayer, but cannot fast forward or rewind. weird.

Do you have WindowsXP??
Maybe the file is corrupted. Try downloading divfix and using it to fix the movie.
Once you downloaded it, restart your pc, open divfix, DON'T open the folder containing the corrupted video, use divfix to browse to the desired file and open it!
Then rebuild the index!

If this doesn't help, and want to delete the file, you have to delete it from dos shell or by using a deletion software like TuneUp.
