Tizio 26th August 2005 12:02 PM

You can download matroska files here (download the Matroska Pack Lite).

Xeratus 26th August 2005 12:16 PM

when i wanna open the file a bsplayer error massage shows up

Tizio 26th August 2005 03:54 PM

Can you post the error message?
If matroska splitter doesn't work for you, maybe try Haali media splitter.

BSPlayer 1.35 b823, Haali splitter from 18/08/2005

Tizio 27th August 2005 12:17 AM

The both of you try to download the nightly buld of BSplayer v1.3.6.824. I don't know if that will fix the problem, but maybe can

Xeratus 27th August 2005 10:37 AM

when i try to open the file with this new bsplayer it says: can't open bsrendv2.dll

Xeratus 27th August 2005 10:44 AM

now i downloaded the bsrendv2.dll file with shareaza but now it says: bsrendv2.dll is too old!

Tizio 27th August 2005 02:02 PM

There are a lot of posts in the forum regarding bsrendv2.dll error especially with movies in container (OGM/MKV)...
Is the file encoded with XviD and with subtitles?
http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=6780

Maybe try (if you don't have yet done it) to update your Xvid codec :?

Xeratus 27th August 2005 04:41 PM

tnx for the help and this last link. it works with zoom player

BuRuz 28th August 2005 11:18 PM

lately, I too have the same problem, but the same movies (mkv or some of the latest encoded avi) play fine with media player classic or some other players.
One thing I noticed was if I cut off one key frame header (with virtualdub) from the movie (avi divx/xvid) then the bsplayer can play fine.

I do not want to switch player, please make it works again... thanks

flcl00 30th August 2005 02:09 AM

You can download matroska splitter (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...a_splitter.cfm), because haail media splitter has some issues with bsplayer.

japouleripeur 30th August 2005 06:07 PM

I've got the same exceptions as described above. These exceptions only occur with VobSub subtitles embedded in matroska files, even with VSFilter load/autoload diasbled in VSFilter/Haali Media Splitter/FFdshow
These files work with any other player and prevoius version of BSPlayer (with VSFilter enabled of course) :?

gfh 3rd September 2005 10:38 AM

The latest version BSPlayer (200508250203) and Haali Matroska Splitter (31/08/2005) also have exception that described above.

Dirk99 24th October 2005 08:30 AM

I´ve discoverd the matroska (mkv) format for me in the last week. To play the mkv-files (1x XviD + 2x AC3 + 2x VobSub + 2x Chapter) I updated the BsPlayer Pro to the version 1.36 build 825, 5. Sep 2005 with use of the Haali Media Splitter 1.0.2.6 and an old version (older than 2.36) of the VSFilter-DLL. In this configuration everything works fine.
Since I use the ZoomPlayer to display movies on my TV I have to update the VSFilter to version 2.36. After that, the BSPlayper gives me the following message when I want to play my mkv-file:

BSplayer v1.36.825, Unhandled exception at EIP: 00406666

Even if I disable the VSFilter-autoload in the Haali Media Spliter BSPlayer doesn´t play my mkv-files. In this configuration the errormessage isn´t displayed, but the movie isn´t shown too.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Dirk

Edit:
When I unregister the vsfilter.dll, everthing works. BSPlayer shows the mkv-file, audio and subtitle selection work fine. But I use the vsfilter for the ZoomPlayer because this program need it to display subtitles in from mkv-files.

BSPeter 24th October 2005 09:29 PM

So, why don't you use BSPlayer to display movies on TV??
Anyhow, did you try to
"dis-allow"=disable vsfilter in BSPlayer under
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Filter management > [General]?
...or alternatively to blacklist it under Filter management > [Blacklist/Whitelist]?

Dirk99 2nd November 2005 09:23 AM

I use the PalmButler Hard- and Software to display a movie on TV and ZoomPlayer can be controlled easier with PalmButler than BSPlayer. On my computer, BSPlayer show me every movie.

I added the filter "DirectVobSub (auto-loading version)" to the Blacklist and try to play a mkv-file. Now the error-message doesn´t appear, but the movie don´t run. The time freeze at 0:00:00 and nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hallo,

does anyone else have the same problem when adding the DirectVobSub to the blacklist?
