Default "Can't open file" - Problems playing xvid/divx AVI

I'm having trouble playing xvid/divx AVI files on bsplayer. I get "Can't open file" error messages. I think the problem started when I updated my Windows Media Center a couple days ago.

Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, ViPlay all have problems as well. Strangely, VLC player and Windows Media Classic works fine. But I vastly prefer BSplayer, so I'd really like to fix this problem.

I have no problems with OGG files encoded with divx, so I'm basically totally confused.

I tried installing and uninstalling ffdshow, divx and xvid codecs without any success. It kinda seems like BSplayer can't figure out what codec to use, but I don't have a clue how to fix it.

Default

I fixed the problem.

Somehow the AVI splitter stopped working properly. VLC and WMC have built-in splitters, so they were unaffected. I downloaded another AVI splitter and installed it.
