Capturing from FFDShow & crashes

Hello all. This is a two-parter really. I was trying to get some screenshots from this video in an MKV container that uses FFDShow. Someone in another forum said how to do it in Win Media Player by turning off the Video Acceleration. That worked, but WMP has no options for capturing frames by itself like BS Player. I could't find any Acceleration options in BS Player or FFDShow so I thought I'd upgrade. I installed the latest version and now BS Player just gives me an error when I try to play the video. So now I can't even watch it let alone capture frames. Any suggestions?

Here's the error:
Code:

BSplayer v1.36.825, Unhandled exception at EIP: 0040643A
