2 subtitles at same time

Hi all:

I have directvobsub enabled on my PC so that I can see subtitles on WMP.
The problem is that when I'm watching a movie using BSplayer I see doubled subtitles. The Subs from vosub and the subs from BSplayer.

Are there any settings in BsPlayer to disable the subs from Vobsub ???

tks for yr help.

You have 2 choices:
1. Disable subtitles in BSplayer (CTRL+P -> Subtitles -> <select> Subtitles disabled)
2. Disable VobSub support in CTRL+P -> Subtitles -> VobSub

1st option works - but I prefer Bsplayer subs cause I can move them out of the movie screen and with vobsub I cant.

2nd option - The one I prefer, doesn't work!!! I disable that function but i still get 2 subtitles !!! any idea why ??I

Probably because that 2nd option works for idx+sub subtitles.. :?
There was another option if I remember right.. take a look at BSPeter's sticky post (READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING) and see if you can find a solution.. I'll search the forum for an alternative..

Anyway you can use the 1st option, so you don't have to disable VobSub (probably this is the solution I remember) :P

If you don't play OGM or MKV files you can disable Intermediate filters and see if VobSub subtitles appears again (CTRL+P -> Filter management -> <disable> Allow intermediate filters)

Let me know if it worked and if you can still watch all your movies (if they are all AVIs you should be able to play them all)

Yes.
It works when I disable "allow intermediate filters."

Thank you very much.

You're reviving a three years old post concerning version 2.12.941 (or v. 2.13) and - at the same time -
don't give any info on the type of movie-file and subs you're using, nor concerning your BS.Player's version/build! :mad
Several options/settings:
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences ...
...Subtitles [Subtitles properties]:
____ [ ] "Subtitles disabled"
____ [ ] "Use new subtitle parser/renderer"
____ [ ] "Disable embedded subtitles"
...Subtitles [VobSub]:
____ [ ] "Enable VobSub support"
...Filter management [General]
____ [ ] Allow intermediate filters
____ [ ] Enable advanced graph building
and with video file loaded
(note this is an example depending on the filter/codec used for playback by BS.Player and assuming that is ffdshow-filter):
(rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced
click on the [+] in front of "ffdshow Video Decoder"
click on "ffdshow"
in the middle column select "Subtitles" and verify the settings.
