Integrated Subtitle Editor

Hi all!
I am a professional subtitlist, and am looking to purchase the Pro version for the above function.
Can someone, preferrably a professional subtitlist too, comments on the usefulness of this feature for professional work (i.e., fast, large amount of text translation)?
Thank you very much!

There are more powerfool tools on the net. Basic functionality and buggy. If you want more details about BSplayer and about other tools, PM me.

Adicoto, can you give us some examples of existing bugs in BS.Player Subtitle editor, or give us links where these bugs are described in the forum?
Thank you.

Load a srt subtitle and try to add 0.5 sec to each line. It doesn't do anything.

LE: after testing this build (after detaching the editor) seems this problem is gone. Sorry. It was present in the earlyer versions.

I think the greatest function this editor is missing is a "CREATE NEW" option
It is useful for subtitles manipulation, but it soesn't let you to create one from scratch (to create one I always load an existent one and then edit it)

I think I wrote this somewhere before, probably in the features request post...
Maybe there are other improvements I listed... I have to check

EDIT:
Yes, there are some improvements listed in the feature request post:

There is one also by adicoto
Search for Subtitles Editor under PRO section ;)
With these add-ons I think BSplayer subtitles editor will become one of the best one on the market :D

Question: is the editor indeed "permanently detached" and no longer (also) available through BS.Player's menus like it used to be?
(See picture: green frame=extra option in menu like it used to be; red frame shows present situation: no longer present in subtitles menu, but only as a "detached utility" through i.a. [Start] > [Program files] > [Webteh] ...etc.)

Just want to be sure before I make an entry in "Feature request and suggestions" forum that it has nothing to do with my personal settings. (I would like to have the menu-option as well (similar to capture which function can also be reached both ways); in fact I already reported its absence as a bug in BSPlayer's GUI.)
(Yes, as the picture shows, I've four versions installed permanently (in fact five if you include the BSPlayer2.0 Alpha version -not shown-, but I never use that any more); I can use all four of them. Actually I access them through links in a folder on my desktop and not through [Start]. Only when switching from present version to Pro 141 version (or back) I must make sure (as the XML-files are incompatible) to rename the relative BSplayer's folder in C:\Documents and Settings\[MyName]\Application Data for which purpose I simply made a separate link. I could - of course - now opt to store settings-data in BSPlayers installation folder, so that I needn't even bother about that anymore. But I don't make that particular switch that often anyhow. Only to occasionally test for other users.)

Sorry to dissapoint you, Tizio, but I do indeed translate (and create) subtitles and I know what I am talking about. The editor will remain a basic subtitles editor, maybe a better one, as it also lack any competition on the market.
In subtitles world there are some free advanced programs that allow you to do anything you want with a subtitle. Some features that are requiered (in my opinion):
- project based workflow
- keyboard shortcuts for all commands
- 2 diferent grids (one for the original, one for the translation)
- splitting, merging options
- multiple line selection with keyboard and with mouse

If you need more details, we can continue this discution on PM.

No no, I know it need many improvements :D
Some are listed in feature request post (one from you) and others will come once the already requested features will be added, I didn't say that BSplayer SE will be the best one, but one of the best out there..
I tried some programs (almost all free) and I never found a single program to be able to provide me all the features I wanted, so I had to use several programs at the same time (well, not several, but usually two)
I remember when the time when BSplayer was a great player but with a lot of missing features, and thanks to BST almost all grat features requested here have been accomplished, also many features I requested myself (thank you Boris!) and I think that Subtitle Editor can follow this trend too.. just provide the right requests and wait for BSplayer devs to add them to our preferred player ;)
