Screenshot capturing

Hi all,
Since old versions of Bsplayer, i couldn't see any difference between capturing screen shot of video in "what you see" and "original size", when i resize the video and capture in "what you see" mode, it's captured in original, native video size.

Secondly, the colours in captured image is much brighter and pale than the movie being watched in playback mode. Is this because color correction that's applied on playback(though i never changed this settings, they're default) and also if there are color stabilizations on movie, shouldn't they also be applied on captured image?

Capturing is weird in Bsplayer

I can't speak of how and when BS.Player does picture reampling.

But the effect of color change you see is called mismatch in video level. Videos normally decode to brightness range [16,235] and upon playback must be corrected to full range [0,255] in order to get true black and white as intended. I have no idea why it's as stupid, probably some legacy from broadcast TV standards.

Unlike resize, this correction is difficult to do in a graphics editor (not all have histogram display) and you probably have to use ffdshow to capture in the first place.
