Change default rendering mode?

I install Windows 7 Beta 7022, then BSPlayer Pro 2.35.
I then install the K-lite Codec Pack, primarily so that I can play .mov with BSPlayer.

This worked well with XP and Vista.

But for some reason, video doesn't work (audio does). So I change the video rendering in BSPlayer (options>video, etc) to say, EVR or VMR9, &close options. Then I reopen the video from BSplayer, and it video works.

Unfortunately, every time I close out of BSplayer and reopen a video, the black screen is back. It's back to "internal renderer overlay (default)". So I then change the rendering mode as above and it works...

Any advise/suggestions? Any way to make the setting stick, maybe? Am I doing something wrong?

Seemt that BSPlayer can't save it's configuration file. Probably you don't have enough privilegies to the folder where it does that (selected at install). Did you disabled UAC ?

I feel stupid now. I had the set the config files to exist along with the program files instead of in the user folder. The program files can't be changed without admin powers.

So I run BSplayer as administrator and the setting sticks. I guess I expected the program or OS would let me know what was happening. I guess I'm still adjusting to poorly implemented security features and my own ignorance. Thx

I think this should be posted into feature requests section. I will do it myself.
