How can I change the subtitle font?

If I click on Subtitle, there is a option that is called Subtitle Font Size, but if i tap it, nothing happens.
Who can tell me how this works?

I downloaded version 2.42 and ever since that moment the player doesn't automatically load or search for subtitles anymore. That's what I loved to much about BS Player..
Why is this?
