I don't know.. usually to remove a program from Application Add/Remove is enough, but sometimes error occours, or the uninstaller is not coded correctly..

If you don't have problems now I think...

Probably you install xvid and then removed it,...

Probably you install xvid and then removed it, but for some reason it left some tracks behind it, so BSplayer found it in the available codecs..and when it tries to decode your videos it doesn't find...
