Subtitle Issues
 

I'm trying to watch a dvd movie with bsplayer but the subtitle just won't display correctly. Some lines of the subtitle show others don't. In nero showtime the lines that don't display in bsplayer show up as transperent, in wmp 12 the subtitle displays perfectly. Why does the subtitle work in other programs and not in BSplayer?

Try to change subtitles parser/renderer.
CTRL+P -> Subtitles -> and check the option Use new subtitle parser/renderer
