Music sub, removal? Hi I usually use BS player to watch movies/anime and everytime a song comes up or back ground talking it picks it up and removes the subtitles and plays it in the current Language. Is there any way to place the subs somewhere else around the screen so it wont remove the dialog subs. |
Rather confusing post! Quote:

(BS.Player allows you to place the subs anywhere on screen at the top or at the bottom (or both as it allows two sets of subtitles; e.g. in different languages) |
Lets say there is a dialog in the movie and some one in the back ground is singing in another language, the dialog wont show up, what ever is on the background will come up as the subs in whatever language they are singing or talking. |
What type of subs and video file are we talking about? Is it possible to post a short example? |
VLC picks up the dialog and the background chatter and it places it in two different spots, like dialong in the bottom , and background chatter on the top. Do you get what im trying to say, Im not very good at explaining this things :D |

MKV file |
In other words seconday subs are removing the primary subs thats what I been trying to say :D |
Did you already try to individually position primary and secondary subtitles? With movie and subs loaded: (rightclick >) Subtitles > Primary > Subtitle properties > ....(etc... e.g. custom position) Ditto for Secondary. |
Sorry, but at this time you can't do nothing. Most of the animes uses ASS / SSA subtitles, the most elaborate type of subs at this time. UNfortunately, BSPlayer have just a basic support for this type of subs (no colour changes, no animation on the screen.....so, at the time when one subtitle must move on the upper part of the screen so the second one can appear, it remains on the lower part and both are mixed). Maybe in the next builds, the team will consider adding a better support for this kind of subtitles. Probably this post's place is in feature requests forum |
ass subtitles Unpredictabple can you confirm that you are using ass subtitles and could you please make "before" and "after" screen shot and upload it here, so we can see what is the current display, and what would be the preferred display of subtitles. BSPeter posted good questions: "What type of subs and video file are we talking about? Is it possible to post a short example?" (a subtitle file at least, if it is located in a separate file from video) Answers to these two questions would really help us. |
Seems that the problem was fixed in the last release. Just did a fresh install on my laptop and tested some files. I have some files with 2 subtitles, ASS, with movement (no colour changes it seems). |
