Hi

i'am creating now new skin for bs

i made 6 version of it, this is largest
what do you think about it?
meaby some ideas?

what do you think made this skin default for bs in new version like 2.0 or 1.5?

I thik it's a nice skin, maybe it lacks a bit of fetures (read BUTTONS).. many users like the ability to access many festures (like pan scan, aspect ratio, full screen toggling, etc.) just by pressing a button, so you can use part of the bottom grey bar to add some buttons to meke it much user friendly then now.. It's only a suggestion, the look it's already fine :wink:

Ah, don't forget to make strings (button comments) multilanguage, so that people using different languages than english will be able to know which button correspond to which function.

Mmh, yeah, now I see.. maybe you should make subtitle button and fullscreen one a bit more easy to understand.. but I think that once a user starts to use it, it will be easy anyway to use the skin.

how to make after "push" play button to pause video?

You actually can't...
Well, you can make a button that toggle its aspect (use the "A" suffix instead of the "D" one in the button file name and once you click the button the A image is shown and when you re-click on it the N image is shown again), but you can't assign a button multiple actions (Play and Pause are different actions and cannot be assigned to the same button..). You can use only the Pause action to Pause/Play a file, but you can't use it to Play/Pause/Play since the file must be started once before pausing it and then making it to play again..

You can select the option "Auto play" in general settings, on use the PLAY image for the N file, and the PAUSE image for the A file and use that button to toggle the playback, but if you press the Stop button, you'll not be able to start the playbeck from the Pause/Play button, you should use the keyboard shortcut "X" or add another button for the Play only function.

I don't know if I was clear, but if you need more help or much explications ask here :wink:

@Ghost55: It's my opinion that if you're creating a new skin it's entirely up to you to decide what functions/features you feel may be useful to have direct access to. It's really your baby! If you need some inspiration you can always look at several existing skins, but ultimately it's your own (creative) mind and personal preference that should be decisive. The picture surely looks promising! Please surprise your fellow BSPlayer-users!

first: I change my nick to "ghito" - it's more easy to remember and I used it frequently

second: I finished my skin (below is promotion screen)

thirdly: I pack skin to zip and then to .bsz format, after start skin in bsplayer in place of button appears grey square. This bug is only in .bsz format, when I extract it to skin folder everything is ok. Could someone explain me that?

:shock: your packed skin size is more than 2MB???
Really strange since your images are not so big... Have you compressed in .zip format with which compression profile?
I hope you have not used the "None" "Super fast" or "Fast".. try to use "Maximum" (if you have a WinZip version higher than v8, use the "Maximum (portable)" profile)

yes i used 'best' profile but even that it is larger then 2MB

Have you tried to load your uncompressed skin with my SkinMaker and then create BSZ file from there?

I try to create .bsz file with your skinmaker but it dont work too.

Then try to upload the skin to rapidshare.de or to megaupload.com or to wherever you want, maybe I'll be able to understand what is the cause of this problem :wink:

sorry, but i cant upload my skin becouse microsoft don't allowed others to use their (purchase from skinstudio) interface design.

There were problems with Nero Showtime skin too
But you have done a great work, so you can use it by yourself! :)

I'm glad you were able to fix all the problems after our PM discussions, and I'll wait for your next (not copyrighted) skin :wink:
