No audio on certain files

Hi guys,

I installed BSPlayer for Android. I have an issue where some of my files don't play the audio, although the video plays fine. Other files have no problem.

The symptom of this is that when I go and select the audio track for these files while the file is playing on BSPlayer, I can see the audio track option, but it doesn't have the selected mark in it. Clicking on the audio track doesn't change anything, the option still remains unselected.

Unfortunately, I'm not very technical so I don't know much about codecs and the like. However, I have noticed that all the files that don't have audio on BSPlayer share something in common when I play them on my PC.

On my PC, I have CCCP installed and I have noticed that these files that cause a problem for BSPlayer have under Input for ffdshow audio decoder "libavcodec".

As an aside, these files seem to play fine on some other players on Android like mx player.

AFAIK there is a licensing problem with Dolby that should be fixed soon.

Yeah, same problem here on my Nexus 7 2013. It seems to be only with some mkvs.

Same problem on mkv files, but it only just started after the latest android update on my Asus TF700 (yestarday), so maybe I'm just missing some codecs now?

Will this be solved with just future BS Player release?

I'm having problems too. I can play the file on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 but not on my N7 FHD.

No sound on certain files

(See also on "no sound" thread). I've encountered a similar problem, but specific, it seems, to m2ts (HD) files. For a while I was able to play these brilliantly on my Nexus 7 (not new model) from a USB 64GB Flash Drive using the Nexus 7 media importer & OTG cable. For some reason a couple of weeks back playback (video and sound) became jerky and slow. I've now uninstalled and re-installed both the media importer and BSPlayer Free. What I now have with m2ts files is smooth HD picture play but no sound! Other files (e.g. wmv) are no problem. Any advice would be welcome. Would PRO version resolve this?:confuse:
