subtitles problem

I have seen this in many version, long lines subtitle , on a font of 35 on a 1024 X 768 screen will be a disaster ,the option resize font is working, but split lines not. This is not happening all the time but it's a frustrating problem, then if you exit full screen and enter it again the problem is gone.

Did you try the new subtitle renderer?

Type of subtitle (when unpacked)?
Maybe also read this thread.
Further, did you happen to notice the following info in BS.Player window?

Unfortunately you do not tell how you downloaded those subs.
Did you use BS.Player's feature to auto-download on-line subtitles?
Or did you download manually yourself? In that case where did you save the subs-file?
You can always manually load a specific subtitle using (with a videofile loaded) keycombination (default definition) [Ctrl]+[L].
Also you do not tell what OS you're using.
E.g. try if (de)selecting "Draw subtitles to Overlay surface" under
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Subtitles [Subtitle properties]
makes a difference (or "Use new subtitle parser/renderer" which is also under [Subtitle properties]).

I also downloaded some RAR-ed subtitles, in "subs" folder and BSPlayer doesn't load them any more. Bug ?

Ico-man 17th February 2010 09:59 AM

Adicoto can you send us a sample?

Some downloaded files come in a folder that contains a "subs" folder which have inside RAR-ed subtiles, that, in older build were automatically detected by BSPlayer and loaded.

Ico-man 22nd February 2010 03:40 PM

Subs in rar are srt or vob?

adicoto 23rd February 2010 10:20 AM

SUB + IDX, as always.

Ico-man 25th February 2010 11:50 AM

We cannot reproduce this, can you send us actual rar file with these subs?

File sent. And also a screenshot in here

@adicoto: I think this bug is now fixed? (at least for rarred .srt subs in subtitles-folder; I have no idx+sub-subs).
