Bugs in Betas 2.57 [Bug 2nd subs FIXED in 1050 build]

Beta version 2.57.1045 still buggy as this is not fixed:

http://forum.bsplayer.com/bug-report...esnt-work.html

If I can't select romanian, I won't get romanian subtitles.

BSPeter 2nd October 2010 05:19 PM

I've just tried and I can select Romanian as 'Default subtitle language' for subs and they are found on-line (at opensubtitles.org) too!
But I think this concerns a different issue, where the language code is part of the filename. Havn't tested that yet!

adicoto 2nd October 2010 07:49 PM

Haven't tested yet the bug with the country suffix.
But I can't select romanian in subtitle option. It reverts automatically to romany. So, even the subtitle BSPlayer uploaded a minute before from my hard drive ;) wasn't found.
Peter, could you check that after selecting romanian and closing preferences, when reopening you have romany and not romanian ?

rum/ron (indicated as rum in subtitle properties window) still selected (even after exit and restart of BS.Player and irrespective of using old or new subtitle engine).
:confuse:

Weird.

Bugs in BS.Player 2.57.1047 Pro Beta (201011161215)

Installed latest beta (1047 - 201011161215). Once again, troubles, as I found again ROM as my prefered language. And I am pretty sure last time was set as RUM. I still insist: isn't there a wrong parameter in installer commands ?
Second bug: second subtitle always ON.

zarxy 22nd November 2010 11:13 AM

I'm using the latest beta too, and the only bug I've notice was with the option "use separate taskbar button for main and video window", the thing is that when it's used and I'm whatching a movie on full screen and I use the windows 7 flip 3D the playing screen of the bs player is freezing and only the sound is playing but when I start holding the tab to move through programs I can see the video screen playing.

Latest beta, internal rederer overlay, old subtitles engine. Avi files (XviD / MP3 - nothing unusual). Even if secondary subtitle isn't checked....

LE: more than that, if I have 2 different subtitles in the same folder, one (romanian) gets to be primary and the second (english) it's displayed as secondary.

Ico-man 26th November 2010 02:04 PM

Could it be you are using new subtitle renderer?

BSPeter 26th November 2010 02:42 PM

I cannot confirm adicoto's problem of forced secondary subtitles, but maybe something connected to it: http://forum.bsplayer.com/bug-report...html#post43259

Same thing using new engine. Photos attached.
If I watch a movie and uncheck secondary subtitles (which seems to be ON by default) and load another movie, primary subtitles dissapear and secondary still there.
Once I've verified and even if the secondary subs weren't checked, they were still present (previous photo).
If I watch a movie with secondary subs unchecked manually, after it ends, when restarting, secondary subs are still prezent.

Windows 7, UAC disabled, Webtech folder un-set readonly in program files and in roaming folders.

adicoto 27th November 2010 08:56 PM

This gets really annoing.
1. I open a file. I get primary and secondary subtitles.
2. I uncheck secondary subtiltles. Secondary subtitle dissapear.
3. File ends playing, I load another file.
4. I get primary and secondary subtitles. Now, secondary subtitle is UNCHECKD. To get rid of it, I must first check secondary subtitle to be able to uncheck it.

BSPeter 29th November 2010 01:12 PM

I think the problem may perhaps be caused by the option "Remember movie settings". I've done some testing. As long as I hadn't selected this option: no problem. But when used and once "Show subtitles" being selected for secondary subs, this is registered by "Remember settings". However, it apparently doesn't register (for secondary subs) if "Show subtitles" is deselected by the user after that. (Irrespective of old or new subtitle engine being used.)
(Also this most likely concerns an imperfection in new coding which was added following this bug report http://forum.bsplayer.com/bug-reports-codecs/11589-confirmed-2-language-subtitles-show-fine-but-not-saved-after-closing-bsplayer.html#post42482)

adicoto 29th November 2010 07:12 PM

A big  for BSPeter. Who would think that remember movie settings will activate secondary subtitle ?
Me...surely not.
But still a :bug:
For now....remember movie settings deactivated :mad
