overlay failed

HI

Have Win XP proffesional
pentium III 1 GH
512 RAM
divx 5.0.2,..

and when i run any video file in BSPLAYER

i get message overlay failed
and bsplayer only plays sound with no picture\

does anybody have any idea

possible solutions:
change overlay mode 1 to overlay mode 2
choose force RGB mode and uncheck overlay

all of these settings are in the video tab from the options->preferences
