RealMedia Splitter HOW? I keep seeing posts that using the RealMedia Splitter works in BSPlayer, but no one says how to set it up. I understand bsfilters.dat sort, the filters part but how do you tell it how to recognize such a file? I've tried and tried I just don't understand. |
No one wants to help me? Come on, we were all new at something at some point, I want this to work, but haven't the foggiest clue how. I know the DirectShow filter works, I played a Real stream in WiMP. I just want to know how to make BSPlayer recognize it, instead of the "can't connect to server" message I get. |
if you got it working in wmp than it should also work in bsplayer... the only point is that in bsplayer there will be choppy playback as it isnt able to use the overlay mixer renderer as i wrote already many times (and i hope bst reads my messages and will implement such a support sometimes) so realmedia in bsplayer is anyhow a bad idea until the overlay mixer option isnt implemented (use media player classic or zoomplayer for that as you can set this option in these players) |
Ok thanks I've tried Zoom Player, I keep getting "Can't register Filter" or something, and MPC to me is just weird, on a Real Audio stream it won't display all the info (just artist and song name, sometimes not even that), which is ok I guess. In BSPlayer right after installing it and installing the filter I tried to open an audio stream that worked without a hitch in WiMP (with DirectShow filter), MPC, and RealOne, and it said "Can't connect to server" and also said "Buffering" and just sat there. If it's not a good idea then I won't do it. I just want an alternative to all these lousy players. (sorry for my attitude by the way, It's a lousy week) |
of course you cant stream with the directshow filter |
Well, then that explains it, I feel like such an idiot now. |
 |
