XVid and ffdshow

I'm using BsPlayer v1 for playing XviD files, but the player use the ffdshow codec when playing XviD files, but the quality is bad, there is a lot of square.

When i play XviD files using the XviD codec the quality is good !

Is it possible to deactivate the ffdshow codec.

Thanks.

You got it all wrong! ffdShow is based on original XviD's decoder, and you get lot of squares because you didn't turn on postprocessing options. So, configure ffdShow: turn on Postprocessing, under label Presets pull the big slider to the max. and if you are watching bad encoded video turn on Nic's processing method which will deblock picture (squares should not appear anymore, but as a result of that picture will be more smooth/blured).

Open ffdshow options and unassign xvid format to ffdshow.
