Can't make vobsub(2.23) loads

Well i saw a bunch of other posts concerning this problem, i tried all the solutions but got no sucess here...

I have 2 files (RanmaMovie1.avi and RanmaMovie1.ssa) at the same dir, when i try to open the video file in wmp ou wmpc it loads vobsub correctly, but in Bsplayer (1.0 rc1 803) i can't make it load.. i've already tried changing to overlay mode 2, disabling subtiltle handling in bsplayer and those things made no diference...

Please help me!

Go to vobsub options and select "Always load".

Try not disabling subtitles in BSPlayer.

And you disabled BSPlayer subtitle, because BSPlayer can't handle ssa subtitles. You must use vobsub to do that or convert ssa to sub or srt.

Subtitles enabled, vobsub in always show, still it doesn't load with this video

Strange thing with this subtitle. Is it on a cd or you can try to convert it ?

i could convert them, but i need them in .ssa

The only suggestion that I could further do is derived from an earlier post here in this forum by Angyalka, who solved a similar problem by uninstalling ffdshow (but I don't even know if you've got that installed).

yeah i got ffdshow installed... but i like those postprocessing options and everything... don't like the idea of losing it.. but ok.. thnks for the support

Just another idea: did you check (select) "Remember movie settings" under "General" of "Preferences"? If so i.a. subtitle settings are saved (remembered). Check presence and contents of file "bsplay.sav" in BSPlayer's installation folder (open with e.g. Notepad).
