Yes, I confirm your issue, by me BSPlayer v1.0.807 crashes too when playing OGM movies with embedded (textual) subs, but only when loaded thru a BSI file. Sadly, we have no debug version of v1.0.80x to trace the load process.
Without BSI files, I can play all my OGM movies with BSPlayer build 807. Filters involved:
- DVobsub = dvobsub.ax -> v2.23 (load when needed+embedded)
- CoreVorbis = corevorbis.ax -> v1.0b6
- Ogg splitter = oggds.dll -> v0.996 by Tobias
- Overlay mixer = qdvd.dll -> v6.05.01.902 (mode2)
- DivX Pro = divxdec.ax -> v5.11.1031
(some movies are XviD, other are DivX both use the same decoder, some movies include chapters and subtitles but always ogg audio :wink: )

But if my OGM movie is loaded thru a BSI file, even this minimalist one:

Code:

[MAIN]
Version=1.00
[MOVIE]
Directory=.
FName=Film.ogm

I get:

Code:

BSPlayer v1.00.807, Unhandled exception at EIP: 00495DE5

Dvobsub is loaded and looks the same that when the movie is played alone.

I tried to change the extension to AVI, not to load DSP plugin, use overlay mode 1, disable OSD, with no success.[/b]

Hello All

I have the same error with the mkv file when I launch my movie with a BSI/Ini file .

xlv600 24th March 2004 11:42 PM

About OGM, I didn't try to change the codec, but I tried to uninstall Vobsub and register VSfilter... same issue :evil: .

About MKV, I have 10 movie samples encoded in RV40. All of them work with MPC (now v6.4.8.1), only half of them do work with BSPlayer, even loaded thru a BSI file. The ones that won't load are those that contain chapters. There is no message, no fatal error, the movie window simply never appears. I've made the same tests that here before, without any result.

Can you confirm this?
