audio stream switcher doesnt work with .MP4 files!

i noticed that bsplayer doesnt allow switching multiple audio streams internally :(

it simply plays all simultainiously

if you want i can send you some mp4 test samples :)
mp4 is the upcoming file format, and the official format specified in the mpeg-4 standard, already lots of tools support it (have a look here)

Please try build 808, it should be fixed.
It's on download page under nightly builds.

seems to work great now!

i tested 2 aac audio streams, 2 mp3 audio streams, 2 mixed and 3 mixed

thanks a lot! :)

btw: do you have already news about video stream switching?
is it harder to do than audio switching?

Video stream switching will be supported in one of next builds.

??
Even with build 814 now I'm not able to switch audio streams within mp4 containers.
The mp4 are fully spec compliant so I do not expect problems derive from that side. Anyway the file plays fine with Nero splitter, AVC decoding done by ffdshow, AAC decoded by CoreAAC, but I can only listen to the first audio stream.
Where is the solution??

Will txtt subs (MPEG4 part 10 compliant) be supported then??

BTW, mp4 is missing as a possible extension to be associated with!

thats not the fault of bsplayer, but the fault of the nero mp4 parser

nero seems to limit a lot of features of their dshow filters to allow only to be used in their tools (like nero showtime)

among which the following things will only work in nero showtime, when you use the nero parser:
- chapters
- subtitles
- multiple audio streams (when not used in showtime, the nero parser will only output one audio stream)

apart from that their encoder is now also not usable anymore in graphedit (as it was a long time)

nice, right?

solution: use another splitter like 3ivx or moonlight

hey, that was still nero parser/splitter working there.
Registered Moonlight demuxer and now it works!!

Great thing!!
