time change of subtitle apearance has no effect

i have bsp version from 16.jun 2004
when i give order to change time of apearance subtitles it has no effect.
my subtitles are behind, so i use possitive time correction by manual correctoin. i can also do it by pressing ctrl+right arrow. after i can see this setting(plus 40sec), but nothing is changed, and subtitles are still late 40sec:(
heeeelp, please

Are you sure that you're using BSPlayer's native capacity to display subtitles and not another program (like e.g. DVobSub or ffdshow)?
(E.g. does a green arrow appear in your system tray?)
(Perhaps installed a codec-pack?)

i am using bsp only. subtitles work, but are late.
there is no green arrow, but when i change the time of subtitle appearance , i can see how i set it. but it is only setting and do not work.
subtitles are showed, but too late.
i do not thinmk that codecs will take some efefct to timing of subtitles. it must be processed by bsp.
maybe you have explained me what the problem is, but my english is not very well and i need easier grammar:cry:

hi
i've got the same problem. have just upgraded to the recent version (what a foolish idea) and cannot change timing of any subtitles now. i have experimented with different formats, but still no results. a previous installed a year ago or so worked fine.....

ok. i switched to the good ol' 0.86 and all the subs timings can be changed like before. i recommend it to everyone who's got a similar problem

I have the same problem too.
I am using Windows 98 SE.

great

it's nice, since this bud was persistend for a long time and discouraged me from using recent versions of bsplayer!

Hi,

I still have this problem even after downloading 1.0 (build 810). :(

No green arrow or anything, using bsplayer's internal sub 'engine', on Win2k.

Have you tryed subtitle time correction with older BSPlayer (ver. 0.86)?

BTW, download Subtitle Workshop (subtitle editing tool) and correct your subtitles.
