1.00B809: file is corrupted! seeking will wery slow

With most video, i get a Windows
"file is corrupted! seeking will wery slow"
After I see my video but NO sound :(

With Media Player Classic no problem :)

edit:  I reinstalled 0.86B501 and I have the same problem ...

I have the same problem. I first noticed this problem, after i installed some other player. I uninstalled the new player and BSPlayer, then installed BSPlayer again, but the problem persist. Any solution?

I'm not sure what causes this, it may happen if you install some 3rd party AVI splitter and then removed it.

Try to re-register quartz.dll

%windir%\system32\regsvr32 %windir%\system32\quartz.dll

or on Win9x systems:

%windir%\system\regsvr32 %windir%\system\quartz.dll

%windir%\system32\regsvr32 %windir%\system32\quartz.dll
doesn't help and also with another player doesn't work (no sound) for some video.
my KL Mega codec 1.03 (codec pack) it also installed MatrixMixer :?

After disabled MatrixMixer
(System - "Do not autoload MatrixMixer")
and installed BSplayer 1.0 B810 everything seem OK :)

I have same problem too...

I also have installed KL Mega codec 1.03. And now bsplayer B:(803, 809) show this message each time I start a movie. (With sound all OK) And I have additional problem: standart WinMediaPlayer plays only non DivX movies (mpegs) :( MediaPlayerClassic all OK.
Now I'm downloading B810 and will try it.

Great!

repairing the quartz.dll worked for me. Just go to start/run and type:
%windir%\system32\regsvr32 %windir%\system32\quartz.dll

BS works again!

thanks!

Have you tried with other movie files and with other video players?
If only one file give this message, then try to fix it with DivFix or similar programs..
Otherwise try to uninstall reinstall Microsoft DirectX v9.0c...

adicoto 28th January 2006 04:53 PM

DirectX can't be uninstalled by an uninstaller. It's a little bit more difficult to do that.

Maybe try to install a new release (I don't know why, but there are different versions of DirectX 9.0c)?

adicoto 28th January 2006 07:57 PM

Yes, there are DirectX 9.0c august 2005 and december 2005. I am not sure if there is a newer version. But probably not 'cause DirectX 10 is on it's way.
There is no install new version, just upgrade. Some parts of DirectX remain unchanged, maybe from ver 5 IIRC.

@Amanda
Did your BSPlayer worked lately ? In this case, did you installed or uninstalled any program ?
Did you run the re-registering command from command prompt or from start\run ?

Tizio 28th January 2006 08:12 PM

You can also try to delete quartz.dll from your pc (in safe mode) and then reinstall directx again..
