Anyway, can anyone help? adicoto? |
Can't tell nothing yet. Does you have an MPEG2 decoder installed ? If yes, then you must wait for a day or two. I dont have the file. Yet. |
i have no idea when he said the file was correct and that he could play it in other players, oh well .. I can't play SVCD's either, though i got the elecard codec. so there's probably something wrong. (even though the file isn't corrupt, which i know since i can play it in other players) |
The problem, unfortunatelly, is on your computer. DVD players use their own built-in MPEG decoder. SO they can play VCD and SVCD files without any MPEG2 decoder(external). BSPlayer must use an external decoder, such as Elecard (sometimes I saw it working with Power DVD's codec). Never had any problem with it, even on Spider Man 2 SVCDs. They play ok. I encountered this problem on some machines that once had installed codecpacks and after uninstalling them nothing worked any more (generally Ace Mega codec and Nimo). And the sole solution was "just" a Windows reinstall. |
Just a wild thought Could not have anything to do with quartz.dll not being registered properly (anymore)? ( http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?p=15157#15157 ) |
I know the problem is on the internal links created towards quartz.dll. But never figured out how to solve this yet but to reinstall Win. I am stil trying. Basil, is the file playing in VirtualDubMPEG2 or VirtualDubMod ? Then try to reencode it as avi. Maybe this will help for now. |
