New version - Take a LOT more time to load (BUG?)
 

The newest version of BSPlayer takes a lot more time to load than the previous one. Could it be a bug? :shock:

(I am on a Pentium IV 2.4 FSB 800 - 1 GB Memory)

I don't think it's a bug, but the EXE-Compressor that makes BSPlayer so slow.... :(
I hope BST will change the compressor because it's very annoying to wait so long before BSPlayer and movies are loaded. :)

Can I ask are you getting the same results with all the skins you use. I found out that if you create a skin without the rgn.dat it is slower (see below) to load. I now include the rgn.dat file with all my skins.

So it may not be the player. Hope this helps.

One thing, include file rgn.dat in zip(bsz) file.
In this file window region data is saved and skin is loaded much faster if this file is present.
This file is auto generated the first time skin is loaded if it doesn't exists.
But if skins are in bsz format, they are unzipped to temporary folder and deleted at player exit, so it's recreated at every start.

I ticked the two "Disable skinned..."-boxes in the skins options. Startup's suddenly much faster. Skin's still working. Dunno exactly what's deactivated, but whatever -- it works.
