BSPlayer vs MPG file? I recently installed BSPlayer 1.00.809 from Kazaa Mega Codec Pack and since then I've been having a small problem with MPEG files when I try to open an mpeg file (ANY mpeg file), bsplayer runs, shows an error message "Unknown file format ()" and then when I click OK, displays the file in an "ActiveMovie Window" instead of its standard overlay can anyone help me out here? I'm getting a bit angry over this. |
and I just upgraded to 1.0 final and no improvements.. heeelp! :) |
Try to install an MPEG2 decoder such as Elecard or BitCtrl |

installed it too [elecard] now it worx ... but whats the reason? i'm not happy with this solution cause this mpeg2 encoder seems to run on evaluation! why it worked properly before? ... i didn't deleted any codecs ... just downloaded ffsdshow i think |
fddshow Yeah, the only time I've had this problem is also right after downloading fddshow. I like fddshow because it lets me boost the audio and gamma correct (for some reason my NVidia Rage II drivers fail in this realm - i.e. I can't alter any brightness or contrast. |
