Subtitles problems

I have WinXP, BSP 1, FFDshow, GeForce 4600 and newest drivers if it matters. Card is set to dual display, clone mode (Monitor + TV).
Problems are
- BSPlayer shows ugly subtitles - letters are thin and look bad with antialiased outline. They are unreadable when I make window smaller. In contrast FFDshow subs look great and scale properly in the same window.
- Last sub stays on screen until new is shows. If I disable (loaded) subs last one stay forever if it was shown in the moment I turned them off.
All these bugs happen on every movie and sub I have used in past 2 months, so they doesn't depend on movie/subtitles format.

Other problem (maybe) is BSPlayer doesn't remember time of movie when it was stopped. When I close BSP, on next restart it remembers just movie name. It would be very handy, I remember it worked that way in some 0.8X versions.

What do you have selected under Video rendering?
(rightclick > Options > Preferences > Video)
If you've selected "Use overlay Mode 1" try "Use overlay Mode 2 (Overlay mixer)" (or no overlay) instead. Difference?
Concerning "Other problem" have a look at this post (click here)

Thanks for the last tip, it works ! I should have find that myself  .

As for main problems:

Overlay 1 (the one I have used) - works like I've described, This is the only mode when subs are visible on TV (2nd screen). Subs font looks like low res, or like it drawed using small font then scaled up to windows (big pixels in letters).
Overlay 2. Subs in window only, Simple thin font, no scaling with window, no aliasing
No overlay - like above
RGB Overlay - not supported
RGB Overlay (renderless) - grayed out
VMR9 Overlay - No subs anywhere.
BSPlayer hangs every second change of these modes (?).

FFDshow subtitles are visible in every mode. They are drawed 'under' BSPlayer subs.

I have discovered another thing - when I set "Stay On Top" option video window is above everything on desktop, but frame not. This way it doesn't register 'clicks' if other window is behind video and frame.

Yeah, I was translating from localized version.
[edit] Hehe I have 'fixed' it. I seems that substitles arent scaled well upwards (when smaller font is selected, 12 in this case). I have set bold biger font and they look much better now. I have used Impact font (narrow thin letters) before, cause there were no problems with wider subs, thet aren't always displayed properly in BSP. Now I have to use Arial-like font :-\ and 'guess' sometimes.
Still there is problem with subtitles being shown beyond specified max time (forever or till next line). If subtitles are turned off last line stays on screen.

Forgot to ask you if you had tried the combination of Video Mode 1 Overlay and "Draw subtitles to Overlay surface" (under Options > Preferences > Subtitles) disabled?

Ooops, I haven't notice this before, now I have installed 1.01 already.
So, in last version, using combingation from your question:
subs are visible in window, but not on TV and they are not scaled with window size changes (with "Draw subs on overlay..." on they are on TV and scale in window).
They disappear automatically after set time and look nice (scaling) now, but there is still present bug with last subtitle text visible on screen if I disable them (simply - if there is subtitle on screen when I press S, this text stays forever).

Mentioned in my posts bug with bad scaling of subtitles reappeared in 1.02 :?
