Subtitles fail on certain computers (v1.02 build812)

I'm running bsplayer on a couple of XP Pro machines and on one machine the subtitles (filmtitle.avi filmtitle.sub filmtitle.idx) don't get loaded at all (I've enabled load subtitles in the same dir as the film) . In addition the subtitle context menu always appears grey'ed out. On the other machine everything works just fine on exactly the same video files shared over a network.

Both machines are running the same version of bsplayer from the same install medium.

Has anyone got any suggestions about how to start debugging this problem? I don't really know where to start - forceing bsplayer to load the .sub file hasn't had any effect, and copying the .xml config file from one machine to the other didn't get anything working.

Thanks in advance

On the machines it doesn't work, install vobsub. Sub\idx subtitles are not handeled by BSPlayer, only via Vobsub. Probably on the other machines is allready installed.

Many thanks - I was not aware that BSPlayer couldn't handle .sub files. With Vobsub installed on both machines subtites are now working
