Why only play @ 320x240?

I used Ulead 9 to capture DV from my camcorder to a 13 Gb AVI file. The file properties summary reported by Windows XP said width=720 and height=480 frame rate = 29 fps etc.
Now when I try to play this file in bsplayer, it said movie size: 360x240 @ 29.97. What gives? Is this a bug or user error?

What does e.g. gspot or VirtualDub say?

attached is the screen dump of gspot. it said 720x480 as well. weird.

One more thing, I distinctly remembered that right after the capture, I did review the file and found everything to be OK. ie 720x480. Now after couple of weeks, I try to view it again and the resolution has been downgraded. I downloaded the latest bsplayer 1.32.820 same problem!

Same file? (different file length)

Be sure that in DV (DVI) codec properties you have enabled full (720x480) and not half (320x240). Sometimes it sets itself (don't knpw why) to half mode (less CPU used)

I don't know why GSpot reported 1,021 MB. The file size should be 13GB.

I'm sorry I don't follow. How do I do this? I just want to view this 13 GB file in 720x480 again using BSPlayer. As I said before, it was able to do this right after it was captured from the camcorder using Ulead 9 and now it won't do it again in 720x480 mode. What gives?

Open the file with BSPlayer. Right click, go t o options->filters and here you have your DV codec. Click on it and you should be able to see and edit it's properties. Check if it is set to normal or half.
